13 months old!

Quick rundown of the month - probably missing a few details writing this 3 months later
Roseola, first group bday party,  Grandma Carol visit, zoo trip, First Easter egg hunt, baseball season begins.

Mom and Dad leave Henry for 6 whole hours!  We attended a wedding of our friends Dana and Kenley.

And while we were gone Grandma taught Henry to twirl.  Now he'll twirl around and around until he's dizzy and falls over, giggling the whole time.

Cameron Park Zoo

While Grandma Carol was here to visit in April we took a trip to the Cameron Park Zoo in Waco, TX.

We timed our 1.5 hour drives just right so that Henry napped during most of the drive there and back.  We wheeled Henry through the park in his stroller and looked at all the animals.  We knew when he spotted the animal because he would give a little sly smile and point at the animal.  His favorite was the fresh water aquarium watching the fish swim by in the 1-story high aquarium.  Here are some pictures from that day.

Easter Egg Hunt

Grandma C, Jason and I took Henry to his first Easter Egg Hunt at the park near our house.  There were so many kids in his age group 0-3 we weren't sure how it would go, if he would be trampled and get a chance to get to the eggs.  He just walked right out in front of us and picked up his 4 eggs, all he could hang on to.  He didn't want to put the eggs in the bucket to collect more or let go of any of them while we were at the park.  He even climbed playground equipment without letting them go.

First Birthday Party

Henry had his first birthday party with 3 other little boys in our playgroup. We've been meeting nearly every Wednesday since the boys were only a little over a month old.  They were all born within 2 weeks of each other so we decided to have a group party.  Henry wasn't feeling very well the 2 days before the party with a high fever (Roseola) and we thought we'd miss it, but the fever broke (and the rash hadn't shown up yet) and we made it to the party.

The birthday boys were Archer, Henry, Cash and Isaac.  Archer's mom made the boys shirts, Isaac's mom hosted everybody at her house, Cash's mom made the invites and I made cupcakes for the party.

First Birthday

It's so hard to believe that a whole year has gone by since we brought Henry home from the hospital.  He's grown so much in such a little amount of time.  Grandma B was here to celebrate Henry's 1st Birthday!  He loved the balloons, blue frosting on his cake and playing with new toys.  He wasn't too happy about the candle when he figured out that fire was hot.  We averted tears just in time while singing happy birthday to him.  Grandma and Grandpa J got to see him "eat" cake and smear frosting all over himself and me on Skype.
