Round Rock Express Baseball

The 2012 Season is wrapping up and we went to our second to last baseball game for the year.  It was an eventful time, the Round Rock Firetrucks were there, and a baseball game even took place.

Milestones - Sam's first appearance on the Jumbotron! Henry did the Chicken Dance.  Jason caught a shirt that was blasted out of a gun by Spike (the team mascot).

I got us to the game and avoided getting Sam or I hit by all the fly balls that kept coming into our section.  All the excitement wore Sam out and he snoozed through part of the game while Jason and Henry went to the play area and to get some ice cream.

First Birthday

It's so hard to believe that a whole year has gone by since we brought Henry home from the hospital.  He's grown so much in such a little amount of time.  Grandma B was here to celebrate Henry's 1st Birthday!  He loved the balloons, blue frosting on his cake and playing with new toys.  He wasn't too happy about the candle when he figured out that fire was hot.  We averted tears just in time while singing happy birthday to him.  Grandma and Grandpa J got to see him "eat" cake and smear frosting all over himself and me on Skype.

New housekeeper?

Is 11 months old too early for chores? Henry was 'helping' me dustmop and sweep the other night. Watch the cute video I took which includes him clapping.

Now whenever we pull out the broom to clean up after his meals we have to speed clean before he takes the broom away from us to do his own sweeping.  Here are more pics of him "cleaning"

Climbing stairs?

I'm not sure where he learned this since we don't allow him access to our very steep stairs, but he cruised right up Heather and Isaac's staircase after the pool party.

Cake!

This weekend was Jason's birthday and Henry got to try cake and whipped cream for the first time.  I think he'd eat it again.

Playing in the Park

We've had great weather the last few days (mid-upper 70s) so we've spent our afternoons in the park.  Henry loves watching the big kids running around and even meeting a few other kids his own age.  The wood chips are fun to play with, taste and crawl through.  The rake is more fun to hit against the playground to hear the noise it makes than use in the woodchips.   Here are a few pics of the fun we are having.....
